A loan of $4,425 helped a member to buy business equipment and restock chicken, potatoes and bananas to sell.


Mt Livingstone Group's story

Sabrina is in her late 20s, single and has two boys who are both in school. She has been running a food business for five years selling fried chicken, potatoes and bananas. She works from 6pm to midnight daily and is able to make a very good monthly profit.

This will be her first loan from Tujijenge Tanzania, which she wants to use to buy business equipment and restock chicken, potatoes and bananas to sell. Her dream is to one day be able to buy a plot and build a house.

She will share this loan with her loan group, Mt Livingstone, which has 16 members who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
