A loan of $5,200 helped a member to buy more inventory for her shop.

Mbinga Group's story

Mwangaza, who is in her 30s, is married with a boy who is still goes to school. She has had a general store (retail shop selling different items) business since 2007. She works from 6am to 10pm daily and she is able to make a good monthly profit.

This will be her second loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loan to increase her retail shop inventory, pay school fees and household expenses and she has paid back her loan successfully. She wants a loan to buy more inventory to resell. Her dream is to one day be able to build her own house.

She will share this loan with her loan group" Mbinga" which totals 11 members who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
