Cruz Alexandra's story

The “Primero de Agosto” Communal Bank holds a meeting every 15 days in the Montecristi township, known for its rich pre-colonial culture and its crafts that have national and international recognition. Place where you can also find the famous Paja Toquilla (straw) hats.

Alexandra is 28 years old, she is married and has a 9-year old daughter that goes to school. Her husband is a radio repairman. Together, they own two stores where they fix all type of electronics: TV, cameras, radios, among others. They also sell the repair pieces needed to fix these items. While her husband works at the Montecristi store, she manages the store at La Pila. They have two other people that work with them; one on each location. Their hours of operation are weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and weekends from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Their business is 8 years old, and they have constant business due to the quality work they deliver to their customers. This loan is to purchase repair pieces for electronics and oils.

Alexandra is one of the founders of her community bank, and she likes that the credits have allowed her business to grow. She dreams to continue working and continue to grow their business.
