A loan of $650 helped to buy perfumes, creams, cosmetics and deodorants.

Carmen Rita's story

Carmen is a single mother with two children. She started her business selling cosmetics, perfumes and costume jewelry six years ago. A friend encouraged her to sell Avon and L'Bel products. Carmen needed a way of making money because she had to meet her responsibilities toward her children and her home and provide for their needs. For that reason, she decided to go into this business. She is doing well and her income is excellent. She works alone, from 9.00am to 6.00pm.

Carmen visits family members, friends and acquaintances in their homes to offer them her products. She fears crime. She is afraid that when she is collecting money from her customers, somebody will steal from her. She would like to use her loan to buy perfumes, creams, cosmetics, deodorants, etc. Her goal is to become a consultant and to become the market leader selling Avon and L'Bel products. She would also like to have premises where she can display her products.
