A loan of $250 helped to buy coffee plants and fertilize his farm.

Miguel's story

Miguel is a farmer in the Huatusco, Veracruz area. He is 56 years old. He lives in his own house and is single. He has grown coffee for quite a long time, since from childhood his father taught him everything about this work. He produces organic coffee that he sells to the regional union of Huatusco. Miguel also works seasonally as a day laborer with other people to thus have an extra income. For Miguel, his parents are the most important thing. What he most wants is to help them advance. For this reason, he has decided to apply for a loan to improve his coffee farm with the purchase of fertilizers, to buy plants for renovation, and to pay for labor to care for the plants so that he can obtain a good harvest that will make it possible to improve his income as well as his quality of life. After the harvest, he would like to remodel his house so that his parents can live more comfortably.
