A loan of $600 helped to hire day laborers.

Reyna's story

Reyna, 31, lives with her partner and has two children, Johns, 11, and Yanelu, 7. Together they live in their own house. Reyna's job is working the land on her own farm, which she acquired 15 years ago with great care. Reyna and her partner take care of the coffee plants.

What she likes most about her job is being able to see the valued fruits that over time are beneficial because of how they affect her crop. On the other hand, what's difficult is that pests affect her crops because they're hard to fight.

This is why she's coming to MFP for a loan to help her with her work objectives. In time, her greatest desire is to buy coffee plants to grow on her land. This is her second loan and she pledges to make her payments by the established deadlines. In addition, she's satisfied with the good decisions her communal bank makes.

With the 1,500 nuevos soles [PEN] she'll hire day laborers to help her with the weeding.
