Margarita's story

The member, Margarita, is 52 years old and married. She makes a living selling "chicha de jora" [corn liquor] and beer, a job she has been doing her whole life and with which she has gotten her family ahead and educated her four children, who are now professionals living in the city of Cusco.

Margarita is requesting the loan to buy corn and beer to invest in her business.

She's very grateful for the help from Kiva in strengthening her business. She belongs to Patrón Salvador del Mundo Communal Bank in the San Salvador district of the province of Calca, Cusco, Peru.
