Tamara's story

Tamara lives in Shahumyan village, Ararat region, with her husband, son and daughter. Because of the high rate of unemplyment in the region, Tamara's husband has left abroad to work and sustain his family. Her son serves in the army at present.

To help her husband to make ends meet, Tamara runs a farm, where she cultivates wheat, grows fruit trees and keeps a grape orchard. In order to earn more income from agriculture, Tamara plans to purchase calves and start cattle breeding. With the loan help she will buy three calves. Tamara also wants to purchase wheat to feed the cattle, as the wheat she cultivates is not enough for it. This loan will also help her to purchase wires for the grape orchard.

Tamara is full of hope that she will significally increase income from agriculture after starting cattle breeding. This is important for her to cover the family's costs and live a better quality of life.
