Kou is 58 years old. She is married and resides with two children in Takeo Province, Cambodia. She has been growing mushrooms to sell for more than a year, earning approximately $4 per day. Her husband helps her run the business. One of her children is a garment worker who earns about $2 daily.
In order to improve her business, Kou is requesting a loan of $1000 to purchase more mushroom seeds to grow. This purchase will help her earn more income for her family. In the future, she would like to expand her business and help her youngest child earn a bachelor’s degree.
