A loan of $1,275 helped to buy books, basic grains, and cleaning products.

Dalila's story

Dalila is a native of Managua and has a grocery store. She is married and has five children. She still takes care of her youngest child, who is 16 years old. She started her business in order to help support her husband. The lack of employment in the area was also a reason. She says that her grocery stores have helped her generate income rapidly and at the same time have allowed her to be closer to her children.

She says that she has begun to better understand her customers' needs. She is searching for better pricing options so that she will be able to sell her products at more accessible prices.

She wants to introduce a variety of very useful products that will make her stand out from the other stores. For example, she wishes to start selling books. Thus, she requires a loan in order to buy books, basic grains, and cleaning products.

This investment will help her to start selling books in her store, as well as to keep it more fully stocked so that she will not neglect the needs of her customers. Her goal is to dive the sale of books and expand her store, in which one will find anything from a knitting needle to a good book.
