Nora Concepcion's story

Nora, 37, is married and has a son; she lives in the town of Choloma, Cortes. Nora has her own source of income. Three years ago she started a home-based business selling food and as an additional source of income she makes curtains and sheets. The food business is on weekends; she sells breakfast, lunch and dinner.

She’s had four ODEF loans that have helped her to keep her business stable. She will use her current 22,000 Lempira loan to buy ingredients like flour, lard, meat, dairy products, condiments, etc. needed to prepare her meals; she will also buy kitchen utensils. She hopes her business will be more profitable and to be able to stay in business. Her goal is to work hard to have a better standard of living with her family.
