A loan of $1,075 helped to buy fertilizer, urea and insecticide.

Margarita De Los Santos's story

Margarita is 40 years old. She comes from a farming family which grows pineapples and dragonfruit. Her husband works as a bus driver, that way they both help each other to bring up their 3 children who can still not provide for themselves. Her biggest dream is that her children finish school.

For this reason, Margarita is asking for her tenth loan to grow agronomic crops, for which she will buy fertilizer, urea and insecticide. This is because of problems she has had with plagues, which as a consequence raise the cost of the fruit. Her objective with this loan, therefore, is to increase the extension of land cultivated to reach her goal of giving her children a good education and a decent roof over their heads.
