Al-Slam Group's story

This group is called Al-Slam and consists of five women who live in Sana`a, Yemen. They are hardworking and took out a loan of 200,000 YER from AMB. The loan will benefit small businesswomen.

Zainb is one of the group members and she currently has a business sewing ladies clothes. She is standing in the middle of the photo. Zainb is 35 years old and has five children. She comments that she started this business on her own initiative and is doing very well. She was working in embroidery before working in sewing.

Zainb is requesting a loan of 40,000 YER from AMB to buy a sewing machine for her business. The loan will help to increase capital. She dreams of opening a sewing factory to increase her capital.
