A loan of $400 helped to buy school supplies, notions, and women's shoes.

Lili's story

Lili Milagros is a charismatic woman who strives to continue growing. She's separated from the father of her two children, so she's a single mother. She lives alone with her children, whom she loves very much and who are her inspiration to continue working. She lives in her own house, which she bought with great effort.

Lili Milagros makes a living selling books, notions, and hardware. She has a space for this installed in her mother's house, so she saves on rent. She also sells beauty products that she buys from a catalogue. Her business is very crowded with the neighbors and strangers who are passing through the area, whom she serves kindly.

Her store has been in business for more than seven years, during which time it has become very well known and busy. She has the support of her mother, who watches the store in her free time. She considers her business profitable because of the good earnings it gives her.

She likes her job because it helped make her very well known in the area and has brought her income that gives her the peace of mind of being able to give her children the best. She says she chose this work because she needed to have a trade and be a productive woman. She very much wants to continue growing in her field and expand her business.

This is her second loan with MFP and she hopes for help so she can finalize her plans. She also comments that she feels good about her communal bank because she considers the members to be responsible and supportive.

With the loan for 1000 nuevos soles [PEN] she'll buy wholesale school supplies, hardware, and various styles of women's shoes. She considers that with more variety her business will have better reception.
