A loan of $1,625 helped a member to buy wool wholesale.

Alpaquitas - 26 Group's story

The ALPAQUITAS - 26 communal bank is made up of eight members, among whom are seven women and one man, who work at a variety of activities. The president of the bank is Brenda, who is 39 years old and who works knitting sweaters and blankets from alpaca for women. She lives in the Sopocachi zone, and this loan is her second one through this organization. Brenda will use the loan to buy alpaca wool wholesale to make her sweaters and blankets because these days she has a lot of sales. She is also placing orders with the different markets in the city of El Alto. Her reason for requesting this loan is to add to her stock. Brenda is encountering obstacles in her business in supplying herself with merchandise, and will use the loan proceeds to continue buying wool wholesale. In the photo one of the members is accompanied by her husband.
