Juliet's story

Juliet lives in Kampala, Uganda. She is married and has two children, and one of her children goes to school. She doesn’t take care of additional family members. She lives in a rented house and the family has access to electricity but not to piped water. Her monthly expenses include school fees and rent.

She sells second-hand shoes at the market. She sells her products on a retail basis. She has been in this business for the last eight years. She works six days a week.

She has requested a loan of 400,000 UGX from MCDT – SACCO to buy more bales of second-hand shoes.

Her major business challenges are transportation and seasonality. Her goals and aspirations are to open up another boutique.
