Gpf Diacksao Group
In this Group: Oumou, Penda, Aissata, Aissata, Dewel Bocar
GPF Diaksao is a grouping of five women from the same family, who trade in order to improve their living conditions as well as those of their families. The group is managed by the lady, Oumou, who is 65 years old and who has been selling fabrics for the past four years. She has nine grown-up children, the eldest of whom is 30 years old and the youngest 18. She carries out her trade solely to contribute to the family's expenses in view of her advanced years. She has a customer base in the neighborhood and moves very little to sell her products. She would, however, like to vary her activity by selling groceries as well, doing this locally by opening a shop not far from her home.

This is a Group Loan

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.

Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
