A loan of $500 helped to purchase shampoo, make-up, dyes, brushes, hair irons, and conditioner.

Tania Olimpia's story

Tania is a young woman of 24 years of age who lives in the city of Estelí. She is the mother of two children who are 3 and 11 years old. She is also the owner of a small beauty salon. Previously, she sold second-hand clothes. Later, she was offered work in a beauty salon where she gained more experience. She then had the idea to open her own beauty salon. She has had her own salon for one year now and works there every day. Here, she cuts and dyes hair and sells beauty products. Tania is currently preparing for two busy months in which she has a lot of turnover in her salon. This is because these are the months with most Quinceañeras, weddings, and graduations. Many of her clients visit her both in her salon and at home. Tania needs this loan to buy shampoo, make-up, dyes, brushes, hair irons, and conditioner. This will benefit her shop a lot because she would have the material to offer better service to her clients which are mostly women. Her dreams are to be able to expand her beauty salon, to put a shop in the city center and to specialize in more modern beauty techniques.
