Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

Akpomè's story

Akpomè, age 49, is married and the mother of three children, two of whom are in school. Her oldest and youngest children are 25 and 2 years old respectively.

Akpomè has specialized in the sale of school supplies many years ago, and she buys her supplies from markets located in Benin and elsewhere.

In order to boost her turnover and to adequately satisfy the demand from her customers, she has requested and obtained financial assistance from Finadev. Her goal is to maximize her profits and to contribute to her children's schooling fees.
