A loan of $400 helped to buy groceries for her business.

Keyly Geraldine's story

Keyly, a young single woman 18 years old, lives in the city of Nazca with her parents and brother. Despite being so young she's a very pleasant, hardworking, and enthusiastic person who has a great desire for self-improvement. Thanks to her effort and the support of her family, Keyly is studying for a degree in systems engineering. In her free time she likes to surf the Internet, and sometimes she cooks a delicious Adobo de Pollo [marinated chicken] to share with her family. Keyly started her small business selling groceries and vegetables thanks to her parents' support and with a lot of effort and enthusiasm. Every day she begins work at a very early hour. She can work approximately 12 hours, and she believes it's going well for her because of the variety of her products and the friendly treatment she gives her customers. Keyly is very grateful to the Kiva lenders because thanks to their help she'll be able to buy groceries for her business, such as rice, sugar, oil, milk, vegetables, soda, and others. This way Keyly will have her business better stocked, which she hopes will increase her sales and her income. This will be useful so that in the near future she can expand her business and be able to realize her big dreams, to finish building her father's house and to be a good professional.
