A loan of $2,200 helped a member to buy purses, athletic shoes, socks and others.

Esperanza Group's story

This committee came together thanks to one of the members who informed her neighbors about the women’s committee loans. In this way they invited neighbors and girlfriends from their community to become part of it. The committee is currently in the program’s third cycle.

Rocío, 33, is married to Christian and they have three children. Rocío sells purses, athletic shoes, socks and all sorts of things. She comments that her husband helps her in any way he can and she also puts everything of herself into it in order to contribute towards household expenses and thus make everything a little easier. Her personal goal is to establish her business at home and continue growing this way.

She requests the loan to buy purses, athletic shoes, socks and others in order to have more variety available to offer her customers.
