A loan of $400 helped to buy compost and fertilizers.

Jose Balbino's story

José is a crop and livestock farmer who lives with his wife and children, ages 18 and 14. He has his own property where, for 20 years, he has been growing crops, and for eight years, raising livestock. Through his work he has been able to get ahead and provide everything necessary for his family.

He is beginning a new planting season and therefore needs the help of a loan to cover compost and fertilizer costs, as these suppliles strengthen the crops for a better harvest. The loan will improve his work opportunities.

His goals for the loan are to buy the materials he needs and for them to have a good effect on the crops. He hopes his family is able to have what they need to live peacefully, and in the future he hopes to buy a vehicle to transport his livestock.
