A loan of $5,100 helped a member to buy more stock of meat to resell.

Kapampa Group's story

Pendo, who is in her early 30s, is married with three children, two of whom are in school and the other is a baby. She has had a butcher shop since 2005. She works from 6am to 8:30pm daily and she is able to make a good monthly profit.

Her request is for her 5th loan from Tujujenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to buy meat, repair her house, pay school fees, connect electricity in her house, and build a cesspit tank and she has paid back all her loans successfully. She wants a loan to buy more stock of meat to resell. Her dream is to one day be able to open another butcher shop.

She will share this loan with her loan group "Kapampa" which totals 15 members. The members of the group will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
