A loan of $775 helped to buy sacks of organic fertilizer.

Paulino's story

Paulino, 32, is a hardworking man who strives to make progress. He lives in his own home along with his wife Nery, 32, and their 4 beloved children, for whom they wish to provide a better quality of life. Paulino is a farmer who cultivates coffee. He owns 3 hectares of land. He cultivates coffee plants on his land because this is the most profitable crop, and there is a lot of demand for it from the wholesalers.

What Paulino likes most about his work is the harvest, and he carries it out with a lot of perseverance. He has been farming for 15 years, and what he considers most difficult is to transport his products from the farm to the sales points, which are located an hour away from his community. Paulino's priority is to maintain his crops with herbicides, fumigants and organic fertilizers, so that he can get a good yield. This is his second loan, and he is ready to make his payments on time like he did with his previous loan. He is an active participant in his communal bank, and he is on time for all of the scheduled meetings.

With the 2,000 Peruvian soles he is requesting, he will buy fertilizers to keep his coffee plants fertile.
