A loan of $900 helped a member to buy drinks, school supplies and various food items.

Don De Dieu Group's story

Don de Dieu (Gift from God) is a group of three people, who are all friends and live in the same neighborhood in Benin. The group’s representative is called Amivi Florence (pictured with her hand raised in the photo). She is 44 years of age, and is married to an electrician called David. She has three dependent children, all of whom go to school.

Amivi Florence lives with her children and her husband, and the couple ensures that the various household expenses are covered. Amivi Florence did not go to school, and for almost five years she has worked selling drinks, school supplies, and various food items from home. She has this business so that she can contribute to paying the household expenses, and she gets her supplies in Benin.

In order to ensure customer satisfaction, Amivi Florence has requested a third loan alongside the members of the Don de Dieu group. This loan will allow them to better meet their customers’ needs, as well as to make more profits. Their prior loans were successfully repaid.
