Aloyinou Group's story

Aloyinou is a group of 16 people who all go to the same church. The group’s representative is called Cathérine Léontine (pictured with her hand raised in the photo). She is 52 years of age, and is married to a shepherd called Isidore. The couple has four dependent children, who are all at school.

Cathérine Léontine and her husband live with their children, and provide for the household’s various expenses. For a few years Cathérine Léontine has worked selling fabrics via the distribution system. She is passionate about this business, which allows her to provide for herself and for her family. She gets her supplies in a market in Benin.

In order to ensure customer satisfaction and increase her working capital, Cathérine Léontine has requested her first loan along with the other members of the Aloyinou group. This loan will allow them to better meet their customers’ requests, as well as to make more profits.
