A loan of $975 helped to buy sacks of rice, sugar, beverages and vegetables.

Victoria's story

Victoria, 44, is married to Hugo, 44, and they live together in their own house that they bought with much effort. They have five children she’s providing a good education for so that they will have a good future.

Victoria sells groceries (cereals, vegetables, canned goods, beverages, candy, etc.) She’s been doing this work for 8 years with support from her husband. For her, the business is profitable because she always has income thanks to her community’s residents. However, there are days when she has difficulties like days when she has too many customers and she can’t take care of them quickly enough; that’s when her husband or her children step in to help her with the work.

She will use the loan she got to stock up on merchandise to improve the business and thus her quality of life. This is her sixth loan and once again she thanks lenders for the trust they place in her. Thanks to their support her business is improving. She is a reserved, responsible member of her communal bank. She will use the 2,500 new soles to buy sacks of rice, sugar, beverages and vegetables.
