A loan of $400 helped to buy pineapple plants.

Honorato's story

Honorato, 47, is divorced. He lives in his own house and is always watching over his beloved six children. Honorato is a responsible, hardworking man. He grows cocoa bean plants, coffee and pineapples. Once he harvests these crops he takes them to the local gathering centers where he already has various buyers who buy his products because they are aware of the quality of his goods and they don’t hesitate to meet him and buy all his products. What he likes best about his work is planting and making his land fertile and productive. He’s been doing this for 15 years and considers the greatest difficulty to be the pests that take hold of the fruit each season but even so he continues with his work.

He will use the loan obtained to buy pineapple plants because they are very profitable when sold. This is his fourth loan and he’s grateful to lenders for supporting him with his work’s progress. He hopes once again to be able to rely on the same level of support and commits to work as a team with his other communal bank members. He will use the 1,000 new soles to buy pineapple plants.
