Kijembe Group's story

Nurudin,who is in his early 40s, is married with six children of which three are still in school and the remaining are young. He has had a food shop business for four years now. He works from 6am to 10pm daily and he is able to make a good monthly profit.

He requests a 6th loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. He used the previous loans to build two houses, to buy a plot for building another house, to buy goats, boats, a radio, & a TV, and to pay household expenses & school fees, He has paid back all his loans successfully. He wants a loan to open a new food shop in another place. His dream is to one day be able to enroll his children in a good school.

He will share this loan with his loan group "Kijembe" which totals 12 members. The members of the group will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
