Carmen Jeanette's story

Carmen is a 33 year old woman. She is single and lives in the city of Camaná. She is a very kind, hardworking and enthusiastic person who has a great desire to overcome. In her free moments, she likes to to walk on the shore of a beach close to her home and sometimes to cook a delicious Arroz Chaufa de Pollo (Peruvian-Chinese fried rice) to share with her family.
With much determination, enthusiasm, and and thanks to help from her parents, Carmen opened her little grocery store. Everyday, she starts work in the early hours. She has a small space in her house where she makes her sales. She works about 12 hours a day and believes that she is doing well because of her dedication and the kind way that she treats her customers.
Carmen is very grateful to the Kiva lenders as, thanks to the help they have offered, she will be able to buy merchandise for her store such as: rice, sugar, oil, milk, legumes, drinks, and other things. In this way, Carmen will have a better supplied store which she hopes will increase her sales and her income which will help her to grow her store in the near future.
