Miguel Angel's story

Miguel, 31, lives with his wife who is his right hand; they have a one-month old little boy who is the greatest gift God could have given him and Miguel relates that he’s become the greatest motivator to continue moving forward and striving to give him a dignified life that’s full of love. When he has free time available he likes to play board games with his wife and sometimes with friends from the neighborhood. He managed to study electrical engineering with help from his parents despite their humble condition.

Miguel works day to day in his small auto paint shop. He works around 9 hours daily and can take care of up to 3 customers per day. He’s able to cover household expenses with the fruits of his labor and this is why he strives to do it well. He believes that he does well at work because of his drive to get ahead and because he has a reason to get ahead: his son.

Miguel is very grateful to Kiva lenders because thanks to the help they’ve given him he will be able to buy a larger capacity compressor and materials like paint, lacquer, sandpaper and putty, among others in order to have the necessary materials and tools to do his work and continue striving to make his greatest dream a reality: to provide his son with a good education and to have a shop of his own.
