Sohoueto 2 Group's story

Sohoueto 2 is a group of 35 people, who all live in the same neighborhood. The group’s representative is called Sosthène Théophilia (pictured with her hand raised in the photo), and she is 36 years of age. She is married to Thomas, and the couple has two children, one at school and under the care of the couple.

Sosthène Théophilia and her husband live with their child, and together ensure that the child’s various needs are met. Sosthène Théophilia finished her education during elementary school, and now works as a hairdresser in her salon as her main business. In addition, she also sells hair extensions and hair products. She is passionate about this business, and it allows her to provide for herself and her children.

Sosthène Théophilia buys her supplies in a market in Benin. In order to satisfy her customers, and with the aim of increasing her working capital, she has requested her first loan along with the other members of the Sohoueto 2 group. This loan will allow them to better meet their customers’ requests, as well as to make more profits.
