Uzma is a 42-year-old hardworking married woman who is living in a remote area of Punjab Pakistan with her husband and 3 sons. For the past 4 years she and her husband have been running a crockery shop. Her husband also works in a clinic, and her elder son is also running a crockery shop in a market.

Uzma is a member of an eight-person lending group that has requested a loan from KIVA partner BRAC Pakistan to purchase crockery items, like glasses, plates, spoons, forks, etc. for her crockery shop, so that she can offer more variety of goods to her clients, and as a result increase her net income in the future.

She dreams of opening a new shop for her other two sons. She is hopeful that her business will grow more in the future. She wants to thank all the BRAC staff for being so cooperative.
