Obed wants to apply for a loan to support his studies for three years at the Academy of Maritime Nusantara. This is his story:

I, Obed, graduated from High School in West Seram. I was one of two people who graduated with the best grades, but I cannot continue my studies due to limited funds. So I had to work to help my parents, because my parents are just peasants. Parental income per month depends on the harvest, sometimes it is not sufficient for the needs of the family. So just to eat, my mother had to borrow from the neighbors or relatives. In this situation then my parents had to work regardless of the rain and heat. Even when sick, my father still works. My hope is to be a Master mariner and professional success. I want to see my parents live peacefully and happily carefree in their old days. I am very grateful to Kiva investors, who will help finance my studies.
