A loan of $100 helped a member to buy rice for her farm.

Bo's Group's story

A citizen from a rural village of Battambang province’s Thmor Koul district, Bo is 62 years old and married with nine children. To make a living and support her big family, Bo and her husband have been farming rice for ten years. Bo supplements this income by selling groceries. This is the first micro loan for Bo’s group of two with Kiva’s partner, VisionFund. Bo is now leading her group to request a loan of 200,000 KHR each. She will use her portion to buy rice for her farm. With this loan, she hopes to expand her farming business to earn more income to improve her standard of living.
