A loan of $575 helped to buy a sack of rice, beverages, and other products.

Demetria's story

Demetria, 31, is a pleasant, modest, and above all industrious woman. She lives in the house she bought with her husband Aurelio, 32. She lives there with her beloved son Jack, 11, whom she wants to give a better future.

Two years ago Demetria opened a grocery store, and it's one of the busiest in her community. Thanks to her kind customer service she is preferred by her customers, who don't hesitate to begin their shopping very early in the day. She likes her job because thanks to visits from her neighbors she always has an income.

Demetria will invest her loan in buying the provisions she needs for her store. With the 1,500 nuevos soles [PEN] she'll stock up with a sack of rice and beverages, among other things.

This is her second loan. She's grateful for the trust given her because that way she'll continue with her business. She's also happy to be part of her communal bank because she works with dynamic and committed members.
