A loan of $600 helped increase his stock in wood and leather.

Foubou's story

Foubou is a 56 year old married man and father. He has been a shopkeeper for three years in an area of the capital where he sells firewood and leather and also does a little bit of farming. There are periods when it is not easy to sell wood, which worries him sometimes and it becomes difficult to provide for the needs of his family, whom he takes care of. It is for this reason that he wants to buy leather in addition to wood, in a large quantity to resell. This will help him to support his family during the hard periods and also to save up for the back-to-school periods. And the rest will be reinvested in his business to make it bigger.
