In order to satisfy the needs of her customers, Christine is requesting a fifth loan, along with the other members of the AÏDOTE group. This loan will help them to better meet their customers' demand and to increase their profits.

AÏDOTE est un groupe de trois personnes, dont les membres sont des amies appartenant à un même groupe de tontine et s’approvisionnant auprès du même fournisseur. La représentante du groupe, Christine (dont la main est levée sur la photo), est âgée de 38 ans et est mariée à un certain Etienne. Le couple a quatre enfants à leur charge, dont certains scolarisés. Christine et son mari vivent ensemble avec leurs enfants et assurent ensemble les différentes charges des enfants. Christine a n’a pas été à l’école. Il y a près de quinze ans que Christine mène comme activité la coiffure. Christine vend aussi, des mèches et de l’huile végétale par le système de distribution. Christine exerce cette activité passionnément, ce qui lui permet de subvenir à ses besoins et à ceux de ses enfants. Christine s’approvisionne dans sa région. Dans la quête de la satisfaction de sa clientèle, Christine sollicite un cinquième crédit avec les autres membres du groupe AÏDOTE. Ce crédit leur servira à mieux répondre aux demandes de leur clientèle et à se faire plus de profits. Les crédits antérieurs ont été bien remboursés.

Alidé is a Beninese NGO that works to reduce poverty by offering sustainable access to productive loans like this one in addition to savings, training sessions, and social work to low-income families.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late. However, Alidé remains a healthy institution in good standing with its creditors, and Kiva would like to continue working to support its clients. This is a Group Loan
