A loan of $1,600 helped a member to purchase a new sewing machine.

Zaib-Un-Nisa's Group's story

Zaib-un-nisa, a 51-year-old hard-working woman, lives in Pakistan with her husband, 2 sons, and 2 daughters. One son and both daughters are studying, and her husband is an auto mechanic. His income is insufficient to meet the family's needs, so Zaib-un-nisa is trying to help him fulfill their needs by stitching clothes. She herself is a tailor, and she wants to generate more income by purchasing a new sewing machine. She will extend her business if she gets a good amount of profit in the future.

Zaib-un-nisa is a member of an 8-person group and has requested a loan from KIVA partner BRAC Pakistan to purchase a sewing machine to stitch more dresses and to satisfy the needs of her clients more professionally. She hopes, with the help of the loan, to reach her desired net income and be able to save for their future. She dreams of giving her children a quality education.
