Elza's story

Elza is a 44-year-old married woman. She is an internally displaced person (IDP) and lives with her family in an IDP settlement. She is a farmer who grows seasonal fruits and vegetables. She has seven years of experience in this field, which makes her experienced and skilled.

Elza usually sells her crops in the central bazaar. People use fresh vegetables every day and consider them healthy. Many national dishes are made of vegetables such as pilau and dolma. Fresh fruits are served on most families' tables in Azerbaijan and are also used to make fresh punch. Her monthly income is 120 AZN. Raising crops requires a lot of strength, which is why her husband helps.
