A loan of $200 helped to buy fabric to make pillows and small towels to sell.

Nely Yolanda's story

Nelly, 56, is single due to widowhood. She has four children and lives with two of her sons in Chamelecón, San Pedro Sula, Cortes. She’s been making clothes like pants, sheets, cushions, pillows and clothes for infants for about 23 years. Her workshop is at home and she makes the items to order. She has a good clientele. The loan she’s requesting from ODEF is her third and it’s for 3,500 Lempiras that she will use to buy fabric to make little towels for babies and pillows. This loan will help her fill pending customer orders and to have more of her products in stock. Her goal is to continue growing with the business because it’s always been the source of family income.
