A loan of $925 helped purchase supplies for her taco business.

Maria Elena's story

Sra. Maria Elena started selling tacos at local markets 7 years ago to help with her family's expenditure, as what her husband was making wasn't enough to maintain her 5 children. She slowly incremented her income thanks to her tenacity, performance and to the expansion of her business, as she was able to purchase some tables and chairs to provide a better service for her customers. These days she works at travelling markets that set up in different colonies and has seen her business grow gradually.

With this loan she hopes to increase her income by expanding the number of dishes that she offers which will allow her to keep helping with household expenditures.
