A loan of $1,400 helped to buy a dough sheeter to mix in yeast, two tables, five bags of flour, butter, 100 pounds of sugar, and yeast.

Jaime Franklin's story

Jaime is 36 years old, married, and has four children. He has 22 years of experience in bread making; a friend encouraged him to learn a trade, and his friend took him to the city that's about an hour from where he lives. In the beginning he had to ask to borrow money to get to the place where he was learning the trade. Later he started to work in a bakery that is 35 minutes from his house every day.

A month ago a friend gave him the idea of starting up his own bakery, and told him that he was a client of Fundación Campo and that there he could apply for a loan. He will use the equipment, which will be purchased in a city about 20 minutes away, for his bakery.

The loan that he is requesting from Fundación Campo is to buy a dough sheeter to mix in yeast, two tables, five bags of flour, butter, 100 pounds of sugar, and yeast. With the investment, Jaime will be ready to start his business, earn a better income, and not depend on employment in order to give his family a better quality of life.

Among his goals are to grow his bakery, buy two motorcycles to take out selling bread, and to build a new house for his family.
