Julia's story

Julia, 64, is a responsible woman. She lives with her husband Julian, whom she has been living with for 40 years. They have 9 children but only live with one of them, Victor, who takes care of them in the house they bought 40 years ago. Julia lives in a cattle farming area; there all the inhabitants work breeding quality cattle. She began approximately 20 years ago, venturing in cattle farming, breeding cows. She now has 5 dairy cows and 3 calves that provide milk, with which she produces cheese; an average of 18 “bolillos” (small cheese) daily. Together with her husband they work in farming. Their main crops consist of potatoes, beans, peas and corn with which they take great care, as their profits depend on the care they give to their harvest. Also, she says that she began breeding fighting cocks. Her focus now is on improving their crops and their animals; with work and determination she knows she will achieve it.

She belongs to the group Solidarity “Accraquia” and this is loan number 6 with MFP. During this time she was able to obtain many benefits and for that she is grateful for the support of her association, where the people are responsible and supportive, and for this reason she promises to be punctual with the payments.

Julia will invest the money requested to purchase a Brown Swiss cow that provides good milk. And if there is enough money, she will buy natural fertilizer to spread among their crops.
