A loan of $1,000 helped to buy an engine for her vehicle that is used as a taxi.

Paulina's story

Paulina is single, and has two children who are already living on their own. She lives in her parents' home, occupying just one room. The house is located in the Obispo Bosque area of the city of La Paz.

Currently she has a small business, working more than ten hours a day selling shoes, and making trips to buy and sell them. With what she earns, she must cover her expenses for food, and pay for basic services. She also has a vehicle that she has working as a taxi, and she receives daily rent.

She needs the loan to purchase an engine for her vehicle, as this is one of her sources of income.

Paulina's dream is to improve her income, and buy herself a house so that can take in her children and also improve her quality of life. This is the third time she has applied for a loan with IMPRO, and the first time with Kiva.
