A loan of $1,350 helped a member to buy chemical fertilizers and pay for the labor expenses associated with his rice field.

Duhuzubumwe / Kzh Group's story

Isaac is a member and the president of the Duhuzubumwe group, the name of which means “uniting forces”. He is 30 years of age, married, and has four children aged from 1 to 7, one of whom is at school. He studied six years of elementary school.

Isaac works as a rice farmer, and this is his second loan cycle with ACB. He says that his prior loan helped his rice business a lot, and that he had no difficulties repaying his loan. He plans to use this loan to buy fertilizers and pay the labor costs associated with his business.

To expand his business, Isaac plans to request further loans to increase his rice-growing capacity. Over the coming years, he would like to become the best rice grower in his region, and he plans to use his profits to pay for his children’s health and education expenses.
