Ramona Ignacia M. is 41 years old and a native of the city of Carapeguá. She and her husband José have been married for 23 years; they have two school-aged children and two older ones who are working.

Ramona and José married when they were very young, and as they were not engaged in any particular line of work, they decided to travel to Argentina to find work. They worked hard for several years and managed to put together a small amount of capital so they could return home and undertake some activity that would bring in regular income.

Ramona's mother was a seamstress, and she taught her daughter how to sew. Ramona then bought a sewing machine and began to make all types of clothing. She opened a workshop in her own home which today provides the majority of the family's income. Because of the high quality of her work, she has a regular clientele, and the money she earned paid for the university education of her children.

Ramona has been running her workshop for more than 10 years. She says that she is very happy that things are going well, and that demand for her work is so great. For this reason she is now asking for a loan that will be used to buy a new sewing machine so that the quality of the clothes she makes will be even higher.
