Daouda's story

Mr. Daouda is a 30-year-old married man and the father of three children. He lives with his wife and children in Bougouni, in the Torakabougou district. He is a teacher by profession and in addition has a business buying and selling cloth. He learned how from one of his friends in business. Bestowed with a dozen years of experience in this domain, he has a real mastery of his business, in which he is much in demand and appreciated in Bougouni.

With regard to bolstering his business, Mr. Daouda decided to join the Soro Yiriwaso loan program. He is now on his fifth loan. The four previous loans were all paid back without any problems.

He intends to purchase 20 lengths of cloth from merchants who travel to Burkina Faso. His customer base is composed of men and women. He sells retail, accepting cash or credit, payable monthly.

With this loan, he plans on making a monthly profit of 75,000 francs CFA that will be used to repay the loan and to cover family expenses.
