A loan of $350 helped to purchase condiments and sausages for her grocery store.

Meliza's story

Meliza, 34 years old, is a kind, simple, and hardworking woman. She has lived for many years with Abraham, with whom she has three children who are 3, 7, and 15 years old. She lives in her own house that her partner built where she shares with her family the same attitude of continuous struggle and hard work.

Meliza works selling groceries, vegetables, and soft drinks. Her business is in her home, which is located on a very busy street in the city. Every day she attends to many customers who come to her store in search of all types of products that she has to offer. She always serves her customers with care, respect, and kindness. She still remembers when she started this business about one year ago. Since then she has had many difficulties, such as competition from other stores, but fortunately she has succeeded and now her store is very popular because it offers a large variety of products at good prices. She likes that her work allows to her dedicate her time to multiple activities in the home, and also that it is going well since it generates income for her family. Now she has many plans for her business, including expanding her store so that she can sell different products in larger quantities to increase her earnings.

This is her second loan with MFP, and she is thankful to everyone that made her loan possible so that she can continue with her objectives. She promises to make all of her payments on time. She is happy to be a part of her community bank since all of the members are kind and supportive people. With the loan requested, she will purchase groceries that she doesn't carry currently, such as condiments and sausages.
