Vida Group's story

The “Vida” [Life] is comprised of three hard-working and enterprising people. Blanca is one of them. She sells tortillas and “nacatamales” [a Nicaraguan delicacy made of sweet corn dough and other ingredients wrapped in plantain leaves]. She has also worked as a stylist for ten years.

She will use the loan to buy corn, firewood, pork, and spices, etc.

María is another member. She sells groceries and food. Miriam, the other member, has been selling baked goods,”atoll” [corn and milk based drink], and “yotamal: [tamalemade with fresh corn and packed in the original corn husk], etc. for seven years. She also has 4 pigs and 80 chickens.
